After almost 10 years, we have made a pretty
"informed" decision ... and are really looking
forward to "establishing" it with you!
Registry

We are fortunate enough to already have everything we need — each other, you, our dog Cash, a motorcycle, and lots of shoes! So, instead of gifts we would like you to help support a project that we are working on with an NPO called Added Value; a non-profit organization promoting the sustainable development of Red Hook by nurturing a new generation of young leaders through the operation of a socially responsible urban farming enterprise.

Specifically, we are going to create a permanent market-place stocked with
Added Value products and staffed with Added Value trained youth. Our goal, $25,000, will not only build this market-place, it will help create opportunities for the youth of South Brooklyn by:

1) Positively engaging them with their community through the market-place, which will help Added Value increase sales, and improve the long term sustainability and

2) teaching them basic building techniques, as they will be involved in all aspects of the construction project.

Awesome, right?

This Market Place will live well beyond September 10th, 2011, and we are thrilled that our family and friends will be a part of it!

Water Taxi

A New York Water Taxi has been chartered to bring guests to Red Hook from Manhattan. The Water Taxi leaves from Battery Park Slip #6.

Take the 1 train to South Ferry or a cab to Battery Park. Walk into Battery Park towards the water. The New York Water Taxi is located in front of Castle Clinton and next to the Liberty Island/Ellis Island Ferry.

The Water Taxi leaves promptly at 5:30 (the ride is approximately 20 minutes). A shuttle bus will greet you on the other end to whisk you off to The Liberty Warehouse.
